Wow, it has been quite a while since my last post! The campaign nearly did us all in and much to
our disappointment my son did not win the race.
I have to say that it was a good run for him against a 20-year incumbent
who is also a savvy politician. We all
learned a lot and suffered through some really mean and untrue statements made
throughout the campaign. I am so proud
of Trey as he came out of this race with the same integrity that he entered the
race. He is a fine man and one that our
county would be privileged to have as their chief law enforcement
official. He will run again in
2016. We are ready this time!
Now a lot has happened since my last posting . . . we
found out that we are going to be great-grandparents. That is hard to believe as I am ONLY 61. We are all so excited. They are having a little girl in February and
will name her Nicole Victoria. They have
decided to go with a Jungle theme for the nursery (they do not want a lot of
pink).
